Another addition to the Fayetteville Dojo series (the Nyoibo/Human Being Bat, Torii, and Bisento are all for the same customer). This is a display case for a set of Japanese armor. It's Red Oak with plywood for the top, shelf, and floor. Except for the plywood, glass, and the top moulding this was all made in the shop. Lots of new skills developed for this and I'm love the result. Casually observed it would appear that the case was built around the armor leaving no access. The left side of the display area is actually the door (last photo) with only 2 keyholes (for grandfather clock sized keys) to betray its secret. I thought it was perfect for a guy who teaches Ninjutsu. The last photo is the "skeleton" for the armor that gives a more lifelike pose.
