I have wore out the original blade on my saw and am in need of a new blade for my DeWalt 12" miter saw (DW705, 15amp). I know that there are thin kerf blades out there for underpowered saws but I have no idea if this saw fits into that category. I plan to only cut hard and soft wood with this saw (no MDF, plywood, or phenolic) and am looking for a good, all purpose 12" blade.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I use CMT on my Tablesaw and don't complain. I used Frued on my Dewalt Miter Saw(don't have it anymore) and Loved it.

For a more economical solution try:

Still a CMT at much lower price. I use the 10" version on my Table Saw and Love it.
I won't buy the expensive blade till I get a new table saw. Just my 2cent!

I currently use a Forrest 1/8" blade, and would recommend it. Whatever you decide, I recommend going with a thick blade and not a thin kerf as I found I got some deflection on my DW 705 with the thin kerf blades.

The 12" one by CMT at Lowes is a good deal, but the Hatachi 60 tooth from Amazon for about $45 is a better deal. I bought a couple of the Hatachi's from Lowes for about $30 each two years ago.
