Hello everyone,
I got in a load of logs last week. There were w/oak, r/oak, sickeymore, ash, and cypress, a mixed load for sure. Sawed 900 bf of pretty syp for a customer today, and then about 200 bf of the cypress. That cypress sure is nice when you get to the middle of the log where the quarter sawn boards are:-D

I will take some pictures, and post them here. I did not quater saw thes cypress logs, they were to small (10"-16") These are the boards that came from the center of the log as I was flat sawing..

but how much is it going for around here? :lol:

.90/bf.... sounds good. Wish I had the extra laying around right now.... I would like to make some adirondack chairs with it

Pete, Its not always about $$$ i'm sure we can work something out. I'd like to have a pair of them chairs:-D

I like that, the straight linear grain pattern is more attractive IMO than the wild cathedral grain found in flat sawn. Plus you have the benefit of being more stable (predictable?)
