I posted the same question a while back, and was given some great info - http://www.ncwoodworker.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6305&highlight=crown+moulding

The best method that worked for me was to make a simple stop system for my miter saw that allow me to cut it in the postion it was going to be in but upside down and use only a single 45º angle cut instead of a compound cut.

Dave great answer, I do crown all the time, you cut it upside down and backwards on a straight 45. Or if you are cutting standard there are two marks on your saw that will allow you to cut the crown flat down on the saw. I think it is 32 degrees on the bed 34 on the rail

Curtis crown is a lot different than regular crown, it was not me this morning it was my help that I had, It is hard to find good help, I should hire a southerner

thanks for the help guys I think I got it.We will know tomorrow. Here is what I am working on. Still gotta do the doors and that crown.
