Clamping Strip Help

I'm in the middle of building a corner cabinet from plans found in Wood Magazine's issue 287 from March of this year. Because of the angles involved, attaching the face frames to the cabinet backs requires clamping strips "with an angled notch cut into one face (to) create flat a clamping area parallel to the face frame." There is a picture showing the clamping strip in use but I can't figure out how to actually make the dang things.

I'll attach some images from the plans and if someone has built this cabinet (or similar), I'd sure appreciate some tips or pointers on how to make these clamping strips.

Thanks,
Mike

For the strips shown in your picture, I would rip some pieces on a table saw at the appropriate angle to the face frame. Attach them with a couple light dabs of glue. Then knock them off after drying and sand smooth. The back of the cabinet probably won't be seen.

Another alternative is to find some edge clamps. I use these for edge banding. You can probably find them cheaper than Amazon.
