Knights are of course the biggest challenge.
Turned the base and carved the head.
Went through 4 different designs before I got one I liked.
Not 100% perfect...but my first (and probably only) set....I'm pretty happy

6 years ago my son and his then fiancé asked for a chess set.
They said having a chess set instead of video games on their coffee table would make them feel grown up.
Finally got around to making it.
I guess it is better than the baseball bat he wanted for little league...

I gave it to him for his 30th birthday
