I snagged a LV Med Shoulder plane at the show and it arrived yesterday. Honed the blade and boy does it cut sweet.

I also picked up a couple of Carter BS products and just installed them today. They are the Micro Adjust Guides for the 14" Rikon Delux and the Carter Mag Fence. The deal also included a pretty good DVD on BS set-up. The install took about 20mins and I was cutting great in 1/2 hour. Here's the uppper guide.

Here's the Mag Fence...Boy are these rare earth mags strong.

And now the results of the new guides and a complete tune-up. I sliced some QSWO and I consistently got 1/16th veneer slices and was able to get down to close to a 1/32nd...see below.

The LV shoulder plane is so cool I just grinned ear-to-ear when I first used it. I can see me reaching for it a lot.

I have often wondered about the Carter guide popularity. Sounds like you're pretty happy, too!

I picked up a set of Carter guides at the show as well. Before the show I wanted a new bandsaw, now all I want is something else to cut.
