Ceder Pen and Pencil slimlines

Was commissioned to make this set, finished it today.

Good looking pens. Getting cedar to turn that small is sometimes a job in itself, without it exploding that is.

Yeah, I had a knot that wanted to, I soaked it in thin CA and let it dry over night, then cut very, very lightly with a gouge.

Very nice ... never made a cedar pen before but I can imagine it being a challenge ... a bit soft.

Actually Jeremy, it's not bad turning at all, at least the pieces I have. And I gave all the chips to the MIL, my wife knits sachet bags for it to put in drawers and such.

WOW! Rob that is a great looking set - how did the RC turn - was it brittle - I know when I scroll it - it is very weak - and it really tears my sinus' up - again great job:icon_thum

The only part I found brittle was the knot, I busted a small piece out, luckily I figured it out early and sharpened my gouge up, then turned it lightly, using a shearing cut.
