Burls

Any have burl or burl caps available? Someone I will be seeing someone this weekend is looking for species with the more spikey caps, species like maple, buckeye or manzanita.

There’s always a good supply at WestPenn Hardwoods. West Penn is pricey, but they’ll have what you’re looking for. As you walk through the front office into the warehouse, turn right and they’ll be along the wall on your right a ways down.

I've a preference for the Aussie burls, mallee and coolibah, for the bases of the lighthouses I make. I get them when I make my annual pilgrimage to the KWS Extravaganza. Lots of spikes caps. And dense. The last couple of times, some burls are not located along the wall at West Penn. The caps and cookies are in separate bins.
