They do fruit, but it isn't something that you would ever consider eating Bradford pear is Pyrus calleryana or a cultivated var. of Callery Pear. Where as the trees that produce the commonly eaten fruit are P. communis or at least cultivated varieties of that species.

Appreciate the horticulture lesson, I'm fully aware of the fact that Bradford pears are in the same genus of trees that bear edible fruit, also aware that they produce a fruit as do most flowering trees seeing as that is their means of natures reproduction process (seeds), that being said the fact that they were bred strictly for their ornamental value we don't for practical reasons commonly refer to them as fruit trees, seeing as how that distinction has connatations of meaning a tree that pruduces some kind of fruit suitable for human consumption.Who knows maybe after years of naturallization from nature they will evolve into a tree that does produce a fruit that is fit for consumption, the crab apple tree fruit makes as good an apple jelly as any apple tree around, lots of work though.
