Boice Crane 12" Planer

Up for sale is my model 1000 Boice Crane Planer. This is a 12" planer than can thickness up to a 4" thick board. I fully restored it a couple years ago and have used it in my hobby woodworking since. New bearings, belts, chain, grease, motor starter, and paint.

It has a 3hp 240v motor that also got restored. The planer weights somewhere in the 800-900 lb range and is a beast overall.

Asking 700$ but will consider reasonable offers. You'll need to bring a truck with a lift gate or a trailer with a good ramp.

The motor and NEMA grade mag starter are worth the asking price.
That's a heavy duty and durable machine not to mention a very quiet running machine.

It is! The Furnace starters are industrial grade ( from Siemens) and this motor is weighs more than some lunch box planers.

Yes same here. I delayed trying to sell it as I just like having it around but I'm moving so it's time.

I'll reduce price to $700 in case anyone is on the fence.
