Good Morning,
I'm working on a commissioned bath vanity that calls for full inset Shaker-Style doors and drawers. On the door openings, the faceframe will leave a space between the edge of the opening and the carcass by a TBD distance- likely one inch.
Options to solve this are:
1. Block out to flush
2. Rear-mounted faceframe mounting plate
3. Thick mounting plate to bring out flush
Observations:
1) I'ved used blocking many times to fill the distance and do not like the awkward look.
2) I've tried the frame mounted (shown in pic as "Inset") which was difficult to install and tends to apply too much torque on the FF.
3) HAVE NOT TRIED - I like the idea of the thick mounting plates shown bwlow from 3mm to 30mm. Has anyone tried these mounting plate? If so, Blum calls for an odd number hinge which I can't find - 71B37XO -maybe any full cranked hinge will work? Feed back appreciated even with Grass or Salice options.
Thanks in advance.
