Best Repair Method

Hey folks! I'm refinishing a speaker cabinet from the 1950s but first I will have to complete repairs. The biggest problem I have is this crack in the baseboard. Looks like the bottom of the cabinet got wet and then warped just enough to pop the joint. See pictures attached. What's the best way to repair this?

Thanks much!

First remove the warped board, repair if able or replace if needed.
Then refit the board and repair any gaps and cracks.
Finally refinish taking care to blend any new or repaired boards.

Thanks Mike!

How exactly would you repair a warped board like the one I have?

The pics look like the bottom (horizontal piece) and front (vertical piece) have both broken and splintered. It's not warping/bending but simply breaking from what I see.

Look closely at pics 1 & 2.

Since its the bottom/back of the cabinet, I would spread the cracked area open and fill it with glue, allow the glue to penetrate the joint and clamp it. Wipe off excess glue and let it dry. It doesnt look like it will matter too much, but once dry, it will be stronger than new.
