Beginners's turning class underway today

It's another "Learn to turn" kind of day...

This time we have just two students, as we are doing a trade: Milissa's bagpipe lessons in exchange for the turning class.

[What on EARTH was I thinking???]

We began with the usual nervous, clean students at 10 this morning.



They are good! Within ten minutes, turning was happening...



By noon, they are looking like proper turners.

LOL! Connell is a very talented musician, and he wants to go on to learn instrument-making.

Meanwhile, Milissa is a very talented musician and she wants to learn bagpipes...

What's a husband to do?

I bought ear plugs.

I was wondering if that's where this was headed.
Then I remembered Millisa's PVC flutes and the thought of plastic bagpipes made me temporarily numb.

Good sound from Connell and the quartet.
Even if he doesn't end turning his own pipes, he'll have an appreciation of what goes into them.
