I've seen a couple mentions of table saw blades ground to ~9 degree angle for cutting dovetails. Are these regular blades being reground, or does someone sell such a blade? Would a normal blade sharpening service be able to precisely regrind to a new angle?

Methinks Tom Ferone (toolferone) would be best qualified to answer this with his experience at Raleigh Saw and Freud.:wsmile:

Most sharpeners can do this. I would get a Delta 7657 from Cripe Distributing (about $31 to your door) and send it to Dynamic Saw in Buffalo NY. Shipping to and from Dynamic is more than sharpening charge, so you might want to bundle blades with others needing sharpening.

Someone is selling a blade ground at an angle for this purpose...hmmm...now if I could just remember who...

An article on tablesawn dovetails by Steve Latte in Fine Woodworking #152, Steve lists Forrest and Freud as sources for grinding. I would contact the folks that you use to do your regular sharpening.
