A Day In Jerry Measimer's Shop

I had a great time with my friends Sam and Michael yesterday at my friend's Jerry Measimers Shop!
Jerry opened up shop yesterday morning for us of the @northcarolinawoodworker and was happy to teach and show off skills on the lathe.
Jerry is mostly known for the Wood Turned Cowboy hats and miniature Hummingbird Houses (he turned 2 while we were here) and he said he is happy to have groups over and teach them new skills! Jerry can even do stained glass!
My friends Sam (who has taught me so much) and Michael, wanted to come to Jerry's shop, so me and Jerry set it up!
Both @Michael Mathews and @Sam Knight left with gifts and projects and Jerry even gave me a beautiful Sunflower plate he made!
I love the kindness and Generosity of the Woodworking Community!
It was great to sit back and watch some people who are passionate about wood turning chat and just have a great time!

Jerry and his wife are such down to earth people! I had so much fun yesterday! I learned so much just from being there and observing some of the techniques he used. What an outstanding day!

I has a wonderful conversation with Jerry at the Extravaganza last month and it turns out that in a former career his team sheet-rocked the house that I currently live in.
