It’s from African Mahogany finished with Ruby Shellac. 18” long between the pins. Shown with a 3/8” blade at 11ppi filed rip. It will also have a half inch blade at 13ppi 15 degrees of rake 15 degrees of fleam. It’s rather light and well balanced in the hand. I used an old bowsaw that I found at a flea market and Bill Andersons bow saw as inspiration. The pins were purchased from Bill so the pin holes are tapered as are the pins. The most difficult part of this type of build is all the points of contact are different positions giving the frame that looks like commas. I’ve made several test cuts and this one feels good in the hand.

I have two more in line to build, materials prepped, one in Cherry and the other in Ash. One is for someone else and the other is for me.

I would like to make one of these with the thin blade. Would you please tell me the source for the hardware for this saw? Thank you
