Yes they do.

Mine went into the trash several months ago because of this (Maybe I should have saved it for the recall). I'm done with Ryobi. Every tool that I've ever bought from them has left me very dissatisfied.

Darn Glenn, when I read the title of this post I was hoping it was my 28 year old Black & Decker. It seems to be on it's last legs. They just don't make 'em to last anymore. :rotflm:

Thanks for the head's up. I just spoke to their recall center (yes, I have one of the sanders). Their solution is to send a replacement model S652. After reading the reviews of it on Home Depot's web site, I'm considering declining the recall and keeping my "dangerous" one. At least it works.:gar-La;
