First off, I am new to woodworking.... I see wood for sale.... 4/4,8/4 etc. at 2.00 b/f. I understand that 4/4=1 inch thick, 8/4=2 inch thick. But with the 2.00 b/f does this mean a linear foot? or a square foot? I thought it was a linear foot until I saw an ad for 6 inch, 8 inch and 4 inch...
