Traditional regulator, close up of springs

Here the first springs have been made. The long key was difficult to make, but the spring easy; its spring is reverse mounted on the underside of the key. The short keys were easy, but the springs difficult! The middle short key has the third broken spring in place, which was later replaced with a bottom-mounted reverse spring. The key to its right has a successful spring. The springs are made by beating down annealed brass 2mm thick to half its thickness.
