Step 1, The Gauge Block

Cut a gauge block at the desired angle and use it for all bevel and miter set ups on both table and miter saw to get consistent angles. That way it does not matter if their indicators are off by a fraction of a degree. Start with a SQUARE piece of stock, and make sure the miter saw blade is square to the table. I used this block also for test depth of the dados, so the slots are not necessary.
