Thank you for accepting me as a member. My profile is similar to all (some) of you. I am retired from from the governmental finance profession and have taken up woodworking as my avocation. Finally, at age 72, I can say small shop is complete. I have transitioned from being a competent carpenter to woodworker. I build furniture, chests, and boxes mostly for family and friends. I give away most of my “creations” as they are not perfect. I always try new techniques when I build items to continue to develop skills. Unfortunately, for my wife, most experiments become fixtures at home with more accomplished piece’s going to family and friends.
