Many of us have this sander in various colors. If yours is noisy, the idler bearing(s) grease may have dried up. An easy fix is to turn the sander so that the idlers are horizontal and put some oil in the recess like this and leave it overnight. The bearings are shielded (not sealed) and the oil will gradually seep in. I used turbine oil but most any heavyish oil should do.

BYW, if you use the sander for metal, the blue Klingspor belts are the very best.

I wonder how much trouble it would be to replace that with a new sealed bearing.
Looks like at least some trouble. Popped the snap ring but the roller would need a puller. Then the other side of the rubber has a larger dia hole and probably could be prized off the bearing. Mine is maybe 15 years old and the rubber has hardened.
