You may remember my buddy Brent in VA telling about his run-in with the Byrd Shelix cutter on his 12" Bridgewood jointer two weeks ago.

Though not back at work, he is getting better:

Reminds me of my "run-in" with my Dad's table saw. That was *mumble 30 mumble* odd years ago, so I don't have a picture, either. But, luckily, I can still count to 5 on that hand.

Ugh! That makes me cringe. Reminds me when I had hand surgery to remove a tumor.

I see good color in all of the fingers and the finger nails which is a good sign. I hope he doesn't lose any range of motion or control.:eusa_pray

Actually it is 4 15/16 - his thumb is a bit shorter :thumbs_up

The last knuckle on his middle finger was pretty bad so they fused the joint. I don't know that I use that joint too much myself. I guess in the future when he grabs stuff he'll be flipping half a bird. :eusa_thin
