I burned this wall hanging Sunday. The total burn time was about 2 hours and 15 minutes. The substrate is 1/8" Baltic birch plywood and the dimensions are approximately 9 inches high x 15 inches wide. I treated the wood with a Borax/water solution prior to engraving.
This bear started out as a pen and ink drawing that a friend of mine drew. The first picture below is of the bear in his sketchbook with an ink pen showing the dimensions.
I cleaned up a digital copy and converted it to an engraving file in Lightburn. There were areas of the drawing around the edges were the lines needed to connected in order to convert to a black and white image.
I have also burned some smaller versions of this that are ornaments and magnets. We are going to collaborate and burn some more of his drawings.
