Numerous folks are stepping up to help in our Community ThankYou program for the front line Covid19 workers. Many have asked how I quickly make the necklace angels. My process shows Easy Wood carbide tools - I am certain that a skew would be the better choice and would give a better finish, but the proper and quick use of a skew is still on my bucket list, so here goes
I start with 1/2" dowel rod or 1/2 x 1/2 stock. In this case I am using 1/2 x 1/2 South American Mahogany
About 6 mm (1/4") from the tail end, I make one cut on the bias with the square cutter
For the head I use a smaller square cutter
Add friction finish and part off - total length is about 18mm (3/4)
Add tiny screw eye and a 50cm (20") necklace and you are done.
Repeat, repeat, repeat and then we can bring a smile to some of our front line Covid19 workers
