Good, NON-PC, Router?

I am looking for a new router and wanted some rec's on a good brand and NOT PORTER CABLE!!! Any thoughts?

I am interested in both hand help and table mounted.

My PC 890 started acting up (again) this weekend. :BangHead: So, I need to head back to Raleigh to the service center (good thing I have business in Raleigh). This is the 3rd motor unit and 4th problem since I bought the POS new on Halloween night.:BangHead: No more PC for me. :eusa_naug This baby is getting fixed and then getting sold... I'm done with this crap.

I don't think you could go wrong with the Bosch 1617 kit. Would be a great replacement to a 690.

Yep, hard to go wrong with that Bosch. Don't let this experience keep you from picking up a PC 7518 if you ever come across a good price on one...

Rockler is running a great deal on a 2.25 HP Hitachi router kit this week. I would also recommend the DeWalt 618 kit, I have it a love it over my PC routers.
