Not sure how far away Kannapolis is but I probably have a couple of ball valves hanging around. Shipping would cost more than the valves. If you get over this way any time give a shout. If I have any I'll give you a couple.

Just remember that if you plumb an extra tank in your system that it will need a condensate drain of some kind on all the low points of the system. Otherwise you will experience issues down the road. Well, unless you have a dehydrator/dryer on the system but it's doubtful a home user would have those on their stuff.

Water will eat your system alive from the inside.
