This is a log milled on the bandsaw but not sure what it is. I think it's birch from what I've seen online but not 100%. Is it birch or something else?

Where was the tree located? The grain looks somewhat like what I have seen in butternut. However, I have never seen butternut on the stump so I do not know what the bark would look like.

I only said birch because I took a picture with google lense and out of what it showed that's the closes thing I seen that matched.

Do you have a picture of the leaves? Wood looks like hickory, but hard to be sure from the photo.

Pretty sure you nailed that one. Birch would be unusual to have grain like that and butternut would mostly have lighter tones in the grain. Bark tends to fit also.
