My project for the last 2 months was watching Air Vent install a new Sunroom. After the room was added, and the floor installed I had to build a base for a direct vent fireplace. This installation is a corner unit and I used Cultered Stone "brick" for a real look. Real brick would have been 1000 lb weight in that corner which I didn't want to do.
This is my first project like this, and I have done very little masonry. So I read all the directions first and the pictures show the result. There are more pictures in my Gallery.

Nice job Bob, I'm sure you'll enjoy the fireplace even more knowing you built the base.

Very nice, excellent masonry work. That fireplace should make the sunroom a great place in the fall and winter.

Nice work, Bob! Now I know where to come to stay warm when we lose power here in Henderonville!

Very nice job. You have really added some warmth to that room. :)

I bet it was pretty cool working with a different medium. :icon_thum
