A little bling for the Woodfast

I decided I needed to add some task lighting for my Woodfast lathe. I started out with some inexpensive gooseneck LED sewing machine lights. They were actually pretty good for what they were, but the short neck on the lights meant I was constantly moving them.

I noticed that Powermatic, Robust and many youtube turners use Moffett lights on goosenecks. Found one on Amazon for a decent price, then found another on Facebook Marketplace for even less.

Fabbed a mounting system out of steel flat bar, a bushing and a magnet to hold the lights and...

... ta da..the lathe has been accessorized with a Powermatic light. Now I can see just how much more sanding I need to do on this bowl :)

Good eyes. I’m using a Foredom hand piece and Foredom and Kutzall bits with a cheap Harbor Freight motor and flex shaft.

No dust collection but I need it!
