Well it happened again - DC went up in smoke
Two years ago my DC burned up. There is the old thread: http://ncwoodworker.net/forums/showthread.php?p=243270&page=2 The same exact thing happened. Smelled smoke and sure enough smoke was coming from the switch housing. This time it is NOT under warrantee. I am in the market for 2HP -...- ScottM

Holy Smoke (Literally), That Is a New Jointer
I was milling lumber for the counter top a few minutes ago and the circuit breaker in the main box tripped. I thought that was weird because the jointer had been running for an hour or so and there were no problems. Plug cutters, cypress, smoke and shards
I'm needing to cut plugs for the Adirondacks, and currently have two plug cutters. One is from a BORG, maker long forgotten, and it doesn't cut, it chews the cypress. Bandsaw Trouble? burn marks and smoke!
TonighI was using the band saw and the shop become very smokey. It was charring the wood (Grizzly 14" w/ half inch blade) it even darkend the wood on straight cuts. Please see photos.
