Noggin' Knocker - My attempt

:-D In my eternal attempt to be more like DaveO, Clay, Monty and Woodguy (John), I made the following from the plans in a back issue of Wood Mag... Now, I hope to leverage what John taught me in the handcut dovetails class with this mallet to make a humidor....if I'm successful, I'll post pix...

Another Noggin Knocker!

Well, being inspired from the other NNs on the site, I made my own. I took John's advice, and made it flat on the top so it could stand up. This is the first thing I have ever turned.. that's not been a pen..

Noggin' knocker

Or chisel mallet. I got inspired by one of the random pictures of Monty's turned mallet, and decided I could use one of those. It sure beats (haha) doing chisel work with a claw hammer:oops: It's Purpleheart and Maple. The Maple is mineral stained and has a greyish cast to it (some scrap wood)...
