I fought the Elm....
And this time I won:eusa_danc:eusa_danc. I got a few pieces of American Elm from Jeff last year. I tried to turn the first piece and almost gave up bowl turning. But I persevered. 2 bad catches, one that blew out the chuck recess and almost launched it, and another that took a hunk out of the side. I answered my question from earlier...CA glue will hold a bowl together for further turning. It's made out of mineral stained Poplar that I picked up at East...- DaveO
