    Cradle build complete!

Just finished the cradle a week or so ago. This was my first complicated project, and I learnt a lot. Thanks to @Canuck for the plans.

The wood is mostly a mix of maple (tiger, burl, clear) with walnut for the end panels and stretcher cap. Finished with three coats of shellac and lacquer.

Very nicely done Yogi! The mix of walnut and maple looks terrific. And. well ahead of schedule of the little one.

    Beautiful work!
I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Well done Yogi! Did you turn the spindles for the side panels?

Nice job, Yogi. A family heirloom for sure.
I'll gladly tell you how I do something. Just please don't confuse that with the right way to do it, and almost certainly not the only way.

Awesome work... wood choices look very nice and you put in a lot of thoughtful details. I wish I could turn 20 spindles and have them look as similar as yours! Of course the best part is going to be who you put inside!

Thank you! I didn't turn the spindles, I don't have a lathe. Found them at bearwood.com for quite a good price.

Looks great. I really like the keyed mortise and tenons.
