I picked up some framing slicks today.

And a couple of gouges. And a couple of paring chisels. My Xmas present.....$125 for the lot. I thought that was a steal. In good condition, just need a little maintenance.

Most of the slicks and gouges are marked L & I.J. White. One gouge is a James Swan. One paring is a New Haven. The other two are marked but I can't quite make them out. I believe the other paring chisel is a Greenlee but not 100% sure at this point. Nice tools.

For scale, the Union plane is a #4.

I saw a slick like your largest one at the local antique mall. The slick had a ratty replacement handle and they want $300 for it.

So, I’d say you did very well with your purchase.

Fantastic score! I paid more than that for just one of my slicks. Christmas came early!
