    Screen shot

Type of Help Needed: How Do I
    Where: Help Desk

Is there a clean way to attach a screen shot to a post? I'm having mixed results in trying it.

    Thanks.

Best way to display any photo is to save it to your gallery and link from there.

I use the snipping tool and save the capture as a jpg. Might be better ways but this works for me.

on a PC to screenshot just the window you have open use CNTRL + SHIFT + PRTSCN. this saves it to your clipboard and then you can paste it into paint or other program if you want to tweak it.

Snipping Tool will allow you to select a portion of the screen, instead of the whole screen. You can highlight the section you wish to focus on. Once saved as jpg or png, you can then add to a post.

I keep the snipping tool pinned to the taskbar for easy access. It is quite useful and comes with Windows. To find it go to Start and type snip in the search box.

    Re: Screen shot

The Print Screen key [PrtScn] takes a snapshot of the entire computer screen and copies it to the Windows Clipboard. Using it with Ctrl does the same.

Hold down Alt and press the Print Scrn key to capture just the active window. So far so good. Now try this combination - Press Alt, Shift and Print Screen together.
