    Klingspor’s Klingnet Abrasive Discs

I bought some abrasive discs from Klingspor’s a while back and have been using them on my power sanders a lot.
The backing is a mesh material. This means there are no holes to line up! This means it is so much quicker, so much better at dust collection too! They really last a long time too! The kit come with 5 different grits (2 of each). 100,120,150,180,220. I have thrown one away. I will be buying these again. In different sizes for different sanders. They are sold in a combo pkg. so you can try them at a very reasonable price. $11.95 fo the 6” $9.95 for the 5” $7.95 for the 3”. You can also buy your favorite grits in larger packages. I like them a lot.

    Re: Klingspor’s Klingnet Abrasive Discs

I have a customer who is switching from Mirka (more expensive) to Klingspore and when I brought the "klingnet" the guys said it is superior! (they are working on composites (fiberglass and gel coat))

    Re: Klingspor’s Klingnet Abrasive Discs

I will have to order some of the 5" and 3" to try in my ROS's next time I make an order from Klingspor. Good to know - thanks Berta.

Are they thinner than your backing pad's velcro barbs are long? In other words will you wear off the barbs of the velcro on your backing pad if you use these without a protector/spacer? I have to use one between the backing pad and the abrasive pad with Abranet. A quick look online at Klingspor's store site and I'm not seeing them. Here's the Mirka version:http://https://www.amazon.com/Pack-M.../dp/B01LXHJIB0

    Re: Klingspor’s Klingnet Abrasive Discs

Thank you Berta! I have used them for sanding drywall, but didn't know they were available for my ROS's. I'm anxious to give them a try.

You won't until you try to use regular hook and loop abrasive and it all of the sudden won't stay attached.

    Re: Klingspor’s Klingnet Abrasive Discs

    Mark,
I don't think you have to do that with the Klingnet, just the Mirka product, but I could be wrong - I am putting this into a production environment where they are sanding fiberglass and gelcoat, so more part to make it work isn't likely worth it - they are used to using PSA discs...
