Re: Robert Sorby 10" Dovetail Saw circa 1870

It's a nice saw that will have to be totally re-filed by who ever gets it. With five days left the price could get out of control, I've watched saws like that and I've seen them go for more than they are worth.
Nothing beats a try but a failure, failure is an opportunity to learn.

Looks to be in really good condition aside from the fact seller states it needs to be sharpened. Much better shape than some Disstons, that I have been watching. Might throw in a bid and see what happens. It's in the UK so it the exchange rate make it a little weird.

With the current exchange rate it's about $38 USD plus about $11 USD shipping.

I expect that it will rise in price considerably.
Interesting that the name embossed on the handle is not mentioned in the description. That would matter to a collector, but not to a user.
