    Type of Help Needed: Problem
    Where: Main Site

I just got a warning that my Inbox is 90% full. Is there a way to download the messages? The allocation seems quite low. The messages in there are ones I want to save. Text messages really don't take that much disk space. Can we revisit that?

EDIT: I just found answers to my questions. The messages can be exported as XML, CSV, and TXT. All three formats are difficult to read compared with the HTML interface of the forum software. Is there an XML reader that will do a better job than Microsoft Word? I tried opening the XML in the Microsoft XML Handler, but there are deprecated tags in the file from the forum software, and the display was no better than Word.

You might try Open Office as a replacement for MS Office. It is free.
    I don't believe in Astrology. I'm a Sagittarius and we're skeptical.

Does Open Office open XML files in an HTML-type mode? I'm familiar with it, but I've never tried it with XML.

Open Office is Libre Office these days. That said, I'm not really aware of anything that will take the downloaded XML file and make it look anything like the web pages you see here. You'll just see the XML statements.

If you download your messages as TXT it will still be one long file, but much more readable without all the XML tags. Give that a try and see if you can live with the text file.
