    Grizzly G0715P table saw

Looks like a nice table saw in the classifieds. Any opinions on this model? I'm thinking about it.

I was there yesterday and bought some stuff. The saw looks pretty nice. Also, a nice guy to deal with.

    Re: Grizzly G0715P table saw

I have that same machine. Got it from the original owner with an included mobile base. Nice fit and finish, with a heavy cast iron top, left tilt. It came from Grizzly with a dust shroud below the blade, but the previous owner removed it as it interfered with the tilting operation. I have not missed it. I have ripped 8/4 lumber with no loss of power; the rip fence locks down securely with no noticeable deflection. Dust collection is just OK and has a 4" port on the right side of the cabinet. I taped some cardboard inside the cabinet to deflect the dust toward the port; it will blow some dust out of the front of the machine around the tilting slot, but I cured that with some duct tape inside. Works well until I decide to tilt the blade. This is a 2nd saw for my shop, as I got it to compliment my sliding table saw. I use it mostly for ripping and any joinery cuts like dadoes, slotting, etc.
Grizzly changed the model number in their latest catalog, but the newer machine looks like the same machine.
I say you can't go wrong adding one to your shop. Has about as much power as the heavier weight machines.
