    EWT replacement carbide cutters

While watching a YT video on creating your own turning tools by Zac Higgins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGBKmnO0wEU, he provided links to purchase the carbide cutters.

To check it out without watching the video, you can check out the products and pricing here: http://eddiecastelin.com/cutters_only. Looks like a good option for stocking the NCWW trailer when these cutters start dulling.

Or you can just order them from smile.amazon.com like we do. The square ones are less then $3 each and the round ones are a little more but way less than the 12-15 that EWT charges.

    Link to round ones:

    Re: EWT replacement carbide cutters

Eddie Castelin is a good guy, I've bought cutters from him and they're priced right, and quality is great. The only reason I'd shy away from Amazon is Eddie is a guy trying to make a small business go of it.

EWT is an American manufacturing company. They make their carbide - not buy foreign bulk and resell for a margin.

The second link in the original post is for Eddie Castelin, http://eddiecastelin.com/cutters_only. He sells cutters, not tools. He also has a whole lot of video on turning, although he's not been in good enough health lately to do much along that line.

    Re: EWT replacement carbide cutters

I've made a full set of turning tools and used cutters from AZ Carbide https://azcarbide.com/ If i remember correctly they were cheaper than Eddie's and so far i have had no complaints with them

    Re: EWT replacement carbide cutters

I think the ones we get from Amazon are from AZCarbide. But maybe that was the ones we got previously versus those in my link above. Memory is fuzzy on the details. AZ was good stuff also and cheap.
