    New Member in Fayetteville

    Hello all,

I have been working wood for over 40 years but have never had a proper shop. As I approach retirement I am trying to remedy that. I have a collection of tools that I have bought over the years but no proper organization (others use different words for the state of my garage.) At present I am working on dust collection plans. My most recent purchase is really too cool. Literally! Since I am reluctant to lose my beard and equally reluctant to abuse my lungs any further, I bought a supplied air half-mask respirator. It is from a company called turbine products and is called Breathe-Cool. I used it yesterday for the first time to see how annoying it would be. I was OK with it. I wore it for several hours as I did some cleanup and minor work on a bathroom cabinet I am making from Bubinga. My plan is to wear the respirator when sanding as I don't think I'll ever have good enough dust collection to get all of the fine stuff. If there is any interest in either the respirator or the cabinet, I'll make a new post in the appropriate forum. Happy to be here, hopefully I'll be able to give as much as I get. Thanks, Bill

Welcome to the site, Bill. Glad you found us and decided to join.
I'll gladly tell you how I do something. Just please don't confuse that with the right way to do it, and almost certainly not the only way.

I like making things. I have a wood shop at home. I am a terrible carpenter but I love doing it. Raymond - Charlotte, NC
