Cleaning packing oil off new lathe chuck

Just took delivery of a new Nova G3 chuck for my lathe and am curious about the best way to clean the oil off of it before use. I would normally just wipe it all off and hit it with some mineral spirits if wiping didn't get the job done, but in this case considering the moving parts of the chuck I'm not sure that's the best thing to do.

I'm thinking my best bet is to just give it a good wipe down and call it a day, sound about right to you?

Re: Cleaning packing oil off new lathe chuck

I have a couple of Supernova2 chucks and all I did was wipe them down. No problems that I can see after several years.
