    condition: good
    make / manufacturer: Powermatic
model name / number: Model 60 Jointer

    Free to a good home.
I was given this jointer by my best friends dad when I was 18. He had taken it from a dumpster behind a high school that closed its shop class down. It had been in his leaky garage for about 15 years before I received it. I had been woodworking for about a year building a small set of my own shop tools. I spent a few weeks rehabbing it and has been part of my shop ever since. It was my first real professional grade tool and helped on my way to my love of woodworking.
I want to pay what my friend's dad did for me forward to a new generation by giving this tool to a young woodworker, so they can start their own shop that might be beyond their means. Please text me if you are or know someone that fits this bill.

    Nice offer.

I don't think I could ever pass as a "young woodworker"

Define "young woodworker." I'm a young woodworker, and have been most of my 73 years. Did have a problem at church for the kids Easter Egg hunt; they told me "NO" because the cutoff for kids was 40 years of age. Now ain't that discrimination I ask?

I'm as young as I ever will be. Does that count? Of course I'm as old as I ever have been. My wife keeps asking me "When are you going to grow up?" Does that count as young?

Any chance this is still available. I'm a 35 year old grad student at Duke building my shop!

Ad is still up. Couldn't hurt to send an email.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

He posted an addendum in his ad. When he says young he means YOUNG- teens etc

I hope that machine is in better shape than it appears in the pictures. If it needs to be repaired and set up then I'm not sure it's really appropriate for someone as young and inexperienced as a teen. At least not without someone to provide some training.
