Need Wood Tea Box Made (12 compartments) stained/dyed black the poly (Raleigh area)

Looks like my wife has a change on this:

I would like to have someone make a Tea Box or Tea Chest for my wife's work that she uses to fit 12 varieties of Bigelow Tea.

Each tea bag is 2 inches wide and 3 inches high.

Wood type does not matter, just one with little grain to it.

The rows also need to be tiered like stadium seating so the front will be shorter than the rear for better access.

She does not want a cover but needs to be stained or dyed black and then poly coat.

We are in the Raleigh area.

I have attached an example of course this one has a cover and is wrong color

Here are a few pictures of what she has now, and of course the dimensions certainly can and will be different because of the 3 rows of 4

That will depend on the wood you use. Each tea bag is 2 1/2" wide and 3" high. Just need 2 rows of 5. I can have my wife take a picture of what she has now and sent it to you and give you the dimensions also.

I see all of the questions about the wood but nothing on the finishing request.

The difficult aspect of this project is not the box but the "catalyzed lacquer black paint". Gloss black is extremely difficult!!!! Every joint has to be perfect, the sanding finish has to be perfect and every single hair, speck of dust, run etc. will show. I tried gloss black once and unless I have access to a professional level spray booth and significantly improve as a woodworker will never try it again.

Gloss black enamel easier and less of a nightmare not by much tho. As much as I can make this for you, have you checked online? Imported stuff can be bought for less than I pay just for material. Custom this most likely around couple hundred.
Depth guesstimate about 25 based on cubicles.

We have looked, the problem is finding one in black. She is ok with custom made as long as it is what she wants.

I have no idea about black dye. This is one of the reasons why I posted here for those who have expertise in areas I do not.
