Harbor Freight Gems Things - That You Would Buy Again.

Harbor Freight is jokingly referred to as "horrible freight," but some of their items can't be beat considering both price and quality. I'm only going to list a couple items that I have but I'm sure there are others who have been satisfied with their purchases. The one that I bought first when they weren't even on the east coast. Dial indicator, magnetic base, and dial calipers. Use dial indicator to align saw, check height of knives on jointer etc. Dial calipers are used to check: bolt / hole sizes and thickness of wood off the planer, brake caliper thickness. How about you what, what have you bought from HF that you are satisfied with?

I have the dial indicators and calipers and am satisfied with both. Lots of bar clamps - what I consider the best deal there.

Have also picked up some non-fatigue mats, which are good. Even bought a pack to bring as a soft surface for our soft travel dog crates (we do agility trials).

I like to pick up their free tape measures. Can never have enough of those lying around since they tend to get lost.

Yeah, but only when it's on sale with a coupon for $9.99.

I've had great luck with their air nailers and staplers.

I've had their dust collector for several years now. I ditched the canvas filter bag for a Wynn cartidge filter. Its been a great machine from the very beginning. Its half the price of its competitors.

There are also a ton of YouTube videos that mod the Harbor freight DC. Been on my list for a while.

It's currently available for $150 with the 25% off coupon, which seems like a good deal.

I use it on 1 tool at a time and it performs beatifully. I've heard others say that it is mot powerful enough for long runs or multiple runs/machine. I can't speak to that as its not a concern for me. I just move the 10ft hose around when needed. Its no big deal to move it.

Re: Harbor Freight Gems Things - That You Would Buy Again.

So far so good on the 6.5 HP (212cc) OHV Horizontal Shaft Gas Predator Engine. Running it on my Troy bilt pony tiller. The original 7.0 HP Brigs & Stratton motor threw a rod and spread aluminum chips all over the inside of the motor. It was kind of a no brain-er... 80.00 plus for parts to repair the Briggs & Stratton or $120.00 for a new motor. I'm really impressed with the HF Predator - everything is steel, it's quiet, runs smooth and is powerful.

Brogan, I bought two of these along with the magnetic base mount with rods. ALL on sale and I used a coupon. These are a terrific value! I use mine all the time with great results. I would highly recommend!

I needed a roofing coil nailer for one project 5 years ago. I ened up using it way more than expected the last couple of years, and it's never misfired, a true gem.

The bar clamps are definitely a great deal. They work just as good as any Bessey that I have for less than half the price.
