    Hey, ya'll

Some of you probably remember our daughter died of an OD in Jan.
Not been doing too much, except crying, since then.
Finally did knock together this ramp system for my aging 100lb dog. She loves it, my back loves not having to lift her anymore, my wife's bad knee likes it.
Win, win, win. Fine furniture it ain't, but it was fun.

Looking good, Bill. Are you going to put a finish on it?
I like making things. I have a wood shop at home. I am a terrible carpenter but I love doing it. Raymond - Charlotte, NC

If you think it isn't fine woodworking, just ask your dog's opinion. Nice!

Bill, Two smiles and a wagging tail. Sounds like an enjoyed (and much appreciated) project.

You might want to rethink that part. Unless its changed in the past 10-20 years (quite possible) Thompson's gets really slick when wet. You'll likely need to add traction tape and that will have a hard time sticking to it. Just my experience and it was many years ago.

Really nice looking ramp though. Good work.
You can't make the same mistake twice. The second time it becomes a choice, rather than a mistake.

Happy to see you've gotten back on the horse Bill. Really glad to see you're back!

Welcome back, Bill. Nice work with the ramp.
The thing that holds up all my woodworking is simply getting started.

As you can see, Annie likes her ramp.

Nicely done job on the decking, ramps, etc. Doggie and human friendly too.

I had mixed results with Thompson's (like Ken) on a PT deck about 27 years ago. My impression was that it was like paraffin wax in a petroleum based solvent carrier. Since that folly many NCWW members have recommended the Sikkens products and they are excellent.
