Sawman 101's Vacation Is Now Over!

I'm slowly coming back to life, and on line. Never dreamed a knee replacement could be so difficult. It's been over 10 weeks now, and I'm getting around fairly well. Finished all the PT for the knee and have replaced it with 3 trips to the gym each week, to continue strengthening my new parts, and sore old ones as well. Anyhow, getting more time in the shop each week, and am now catching up on the Christmas presents that missed the deadline.

I need to catch up with Skymaster, Jackleg, and Raymond, to get up to speed with the Burial Urn Project. Also need advised on the Midwinter Blahs Picnic at Shelby. Allisnut, are you heading the event up? Just want to know so I don't miss it.

Thank you to so many of you for your kind words and thoughts, as well as the welcomed visits.
I will try to stay up to date with everyone now, and as usual, I am wide open for the usual wise cracks and pot shots (y'all know who you are) and look forward to them.

    HAPPY SAWDUSTING Y'ALL!

Bruce, Even though we have never met, and that I am a fairly new member here, I have been pulling for your speedy rehab and recovery. Having gone through two shoulder surgeries for rotator cuff repairs I feel your pain and anguish. All the physical therapy and rehab is never easy nor is it pleasant, but a very necessary procedure to get one's self back up to parr. Glad you are doing much better, and now able to rejoin your activities. Take it slow and be safe. We are not getting any younger!

Speak for yourself, Frank. I fully intend to go through my second childhood just as soon as my wife lets me!

I won't respond with a knee-jerk reaction, as that may get you all out of joint...

Re: Sawman 101's Vacation Is Now Over!

Ahhh, geez guys, you make me feel like I never slowed down at all! Can't tell you all how good it feels to be back behind the saws and read your pot shots at my antiquity. And not only am I older than dirt, I am classified by some experts as a genuine fossil of no great value!

Thank you for responding to my post and filling me in on current events. My hats tipped to Raymond, Skymaster, and Jackleg for their continuing efforts on behalf of the BURIAL URN FOR VETERANS PROJECT. It appears the project is progressing well.

Really looking forward to the annual MID-WINTER BLAHS PICNIC, and hope we not only equal, but far exceed last years attendance numbers. This is a great event for Western North Carolina region woodworkers to get together and enjoy some really great fellowship and tasty food.

Thank you one and all, for your great friendship and fellowship. Looking forward to seeing many of you at the annual picnics, and other NCWW events throughout this exciting New Year.

You know you are "over the hump," when you can put on your underwear standing up. Almost four years out from a bilateral knee replacement.
