That is an amazing creation, but I think I'll pass on making one Scott. I wonder what wood he uses for making the tree? I think hickory may possibly work. Wood sure like to know.

You can buy them here in the US for a fistful of dollars. A 10" tree is $25. The web link says the trees are made from linden wood (aka basswood in the US).

Funny this popped up because I was in Munich, Germany over Thanksgiving and these trees were in every Christmas shop we came upon. I was going to attempt my hand at one at some point, but I have yet to try.
